Using Audio as Input (UAAI)
This research deals with the question of how audio can be used to affect gameplay in video games.
Abstract: Audio plays a big role when it comes to creating an immersive experience in video games. It is commonlyimplemented last and instantiated by in-game cues. What if we turn that process on its head and use audio to affectin-game cues? This paper will take you through a couple of examples of how this is achieved and what effect itcan have on the gameplay and overall user experience.
